The Speedskating Museum is a 501(c)(3) organization listed with the IRS as the National Speedskating Museum and Hall of Fame.
The Speedskating Museum does not accept unsolicited items.
Many thanks to members of the speedskating community who have provided items over the years. There are currently over 130 boxes of items in storage. Items include photos, clippings, brochures, race protocols, trophies, badges and patches, all styles of skates, uniforms and other apparel, letters, programs, and probably all of the issues of the Racing Blade. A group of volunteers are preparing exhibits for the museum space, and for the virtual museum. The first batch of scanned items is available on the Archives page in this website. (under construction)
We have extremely limited display space, and there is no space to store additional items. If you have something you believe is of exceptional value to the story of speedskating, please use the “Contact Us” form to send us a description of the item, including why it is unique and what makes it a compelling addition to the collection.
If you have photos, clippings, brochures, or other paper memorabilia, we will accept digital scans. Please email us with a description of the items. Please note that “old pictures” need identifications of the location, the date, the name of the event, the names of the people in the photo, or other identification to make it interesting to the viewer.
