Jack was born May 15, 1919 and passed away on December 25, 2007. He started skating as a 12 year old in Syracuse, New York in 1933 at the local parks. He skated competitively until 1974 and, once he retired, was President of the Northern New York Skating Association from 1974-75 and 1979-80 along with working as a referee. He became active in USISA in 1976 when he was elected to their Board of Directors and then served as President of USISA from 1980 to 1989. He established the Charitable Foundation with the money received from the Los Angeles Games which is the source of funding for USISA’s programs. Jack was team manager for the 1984 and 1988 Olympics and was a member of the USOC Administrative Board at the 1992 Games.
